So I’ve been visiting a few single dad blogs and here’s what I’ve been hearing (or seeing)…
RJ over at Singledad.com is pretty cool. His blog is actually a vlog where he does video posts. The topics range from acupuncture to The Bachelor tv show. His site is pretty cool too. He is filling a niche with single dads and provided great advice, content, and humor.
David Mott over at Dad’s House has some pretty interesting topics. I was a bit embarrassed while reading the first to posts on the page but felt better further down. His posts are pretty comprehensive and definitely reflects his personality (I don’t know him personally, but it’s not hard to draw a conclusion). His March 5 post about his daughter’s truck was hilarious. Teaching teens fiscal responsibility is something I have to look forward to with my soon-to-be 13 year old. He gave me a glimpse into my future.
Ian blogs at Single Parent Dad and he’s father to 3 year old Max. Ian is a widower and seems to be a very thoughtful and spiritually aware man. It’s evident in his most recent post about how to handle Mother’s Day activity at Max’s school. It was a very touching post and helped me to understand how difficult it must be to raise a child after the death a spouse. But Ian and Max seem to be hanging in there and thriving. Check out his blog.
Kevin is a single dad who’s just made the decision to voluntarily leave his job due to layoffs. It was not really a tough decision it seems because he gets to move closer to his son Noah. Parenting is an awesome responsibility and I admire Kevin for stepping up to the plate and choosing to be present and accounted for his son.
So there are some incredible single dads out there who are letting the world know that their priority is their children. Do you know any awesome single dads that blog? Please share the link to their blogs so we can stop by and give them a vote of confidence.
