I'm excited to let you know about an upcoming radio appearance I am making tonight, November 22, 2009, at 8pm. With the release of the movie Precious and numerous other movies depicting single motherhood at it's worst, my friends, single moms themselves, and I decided to have a discusion about how to change the way single moms are portrayed in our society.
It's not all about dysfunction and negativity, but about the majority of single moms doing their best to create a positive life for their children. Regardless of the circumstances, there are enlightened and empowered single moms in the world who are making a difference.
